In February, AVX introduced their AEC-Q200-Qualified SkyCap® Capacitor, a line extension to their high-quality, SkyCap® Series. AVX states that the new AR series SkyCap® Capacitors are fully qualified to automotive specification AEC-Q200; which makes them ideal for automotive and other high-voltage applications. These capacitors offer capacitance values from 470pF to 68,000pF and tolerance values of +/- 5%, +/- 10%, +/- 20% and +80%/-20%. The AR series SkyCap® Capacitors offer excellent vibration characteristics, as well as, considerable thermal resistance.
